In 2002, Caroline Tanell laid the groundwork for what would become Mesa CPA Group. Caroline is a certified public accountant and has taught at The University of Arizona in the past.
She is a respected member of the Tax Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, reflecting her strong industry knowledge and leadership.
Head of Accounts - CPA, ABA
Monica joined the Mesa CPA Group in 2004, a few years after graduating in Accounting. Her previous degree and expertise in public relations was fundamental for the growth of the Mesa CPA Group.
Monica became Head of Accounts in 2009, with responsibility for successfully managing the daily affairs of a portfolio of business customers across multiple industries.
Head of Bookkeeping - CPA, CMA
Ana Williams has more than twenty-five years of experience working as an accountant in corporate environments and national accounting firms.
Ana attended the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where she received her Master of Business Administration degree.
Valuation Analyst - CPA, CVA
Nelson Hills, a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst joined the company in 2010, having previously held positions at Cornwell Jackson in Dallas and FedEx in Memphis.
Nelson is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree, and also holds a master’s degree in business administration. He is a member of the AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Section, overseeing internal valuation audits.
Assistant
Elena is the person who helps our company maintain order and open communication. She’s currently studying to become an accountant, and she hopes to continue adding value to our firm from a different position.
Elena is usually the main bridge between our clients and our specialists, making her an essential and highly valued part of our company’s daily operations, client communication, and overall customer experience and satisfaction.
Audit Specialist - CPA, CIA
The most recent member of the team to join is Theodore Russell, who started working for Mesa CPA Group in October 2020. He has more than twenty years of experience in the accounting field and graduated from Franklin University as the first of his class.
Theodore takes great pleasure in assisting others in launching new businesses, and he is typically the first to clear some time in his schedule for consultations, strategic guidance, and early-stage business planning.
